Institute of Investment 

Founded in 1996, Institute of Investment of Hohai University was primarily called “Institute of Economic Development”. It was renamed “Institute of Applied Economics” in 2000, and then renamed “Institute of Investment” in 2003. The institute established Infrastructure Investment and Financing Management Research Center (an academic platform) in 2009, and set up Jiangsu Coastal Resource Center for Economic Research (one of Jiangsu humanities and social sciences bases) in 2011.
      The institute applies new theories and methods of subjects, such as Economics, Investment, Finance, and especially Financial Engineering, into the allocation and management of resources, mainly studying the configuration and management of water resources and transportation resources centered on infrastructure investment and financing.
