1. Introduction


Hohai University in 2011 approved the master of accounting (MPAcc) qualifications to become the third batch of approved units. As MPAcc qualifications for running schools, with a positive sense of competition to broaden the development of ideas, make full use of mainstream and characteristics of the advantages of combining disciplines to shape the accounting elite.

The MPAcc project of Hohai University aims to cultivate students with good ideological and political qualifications, professional ethics and academic ethics, systematically mastering the knowledge and skills in accounting, finance, auditing and related fields, being familiar with the basic industries such as water conservancy and electricity, and having leadership and The international perspective of the composite senior accounting professionals.


Training programs include courses, practical teaching and dissertations and other aspects require students in 2-4 years of flexible system, completed at least 30 credit courses and completed dissertation. Learning can be divided into full-time and working (weekend classes). Coursework is divided into degree programs (20 credits) and non-degree programs (10 credits). Degree programs include public courses (4 credits), basic theory courses (4 credits) and professional compulsory courses (12 credits). Non-degree programs consist of four modules: Professional Electives, Business Electives, Electives and Optional Classes for a total of 10 credits. Among the optional modules, there is a choice of courses offered to all Masters.


At present, MPAcc project has formed a quality education project with the following characteristics. (1) Construct a curriculum system that cultivates the Competence of accounting occupation compound. (2) The implementation of collaborative training mode of school-based training + base practice. (3) To explore the professional characteristics of basic industries such as water conservancy and electric power + accounting profession and the complicated professional knowledge of accounting, finance and auditing in the challenge engineering field. (4) Implement MPAcc + ACCA joint project to cultivate students ambitions with an international perspective.


MPAcc graduates from Hohai University are employed mainly for the accounting, finance, auditing complex professional positions. At the same time, according to the orientation of personnel training, graduates are encouraged to enter the advantageous industries in the Yangtze River Delta region and basic industries such as water conservancy and electricity. In the past few years, graduates were hired by the State Ministry of Finance, the National Audit Office and other national departments. Some of the graduates were accepted by the Big Four accounting firms, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Transport, the National Energy Administration, the Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute and the South-to-North Water Transfer Project Line Jiangsu Water Resources Co., Ltd., Ministry of Water Resources Pearl River Hydropower Commission and other units hired.


The MPAcc project successfully passed the MPAcc National Education Steering Committee's commissionability assessment in 2015 by the Ministry of Education. In 2016 we are receiving a horizontal assessment of the degree center of the Ministry of Education, the college is also fully prepared in the field of high-quality international and domestic quality certification.

  

2. Training objectives

The MPAcc project of Hohai University has good ideological and political qualifications, professional ethics and academic ethics. It systematically masters the knowledge and skills in accounting, finance, auditing and related fields, is familiar with the basic industries such as water conservancy and electric power, and has leadership and internationalization Vision of the complex senior accounting professionals.


This goal can be condensed into cultivating an accounting elite with competence (M), profession (P), ambition (A), collaboration (C) and challenge (C).

M (Merits) ability: to develop students with professional, managerial, industry composite capabilities.

P (Professionals) Professional: cultivate students good ideological and political qualities, accounting professional ethics and academic ethics, cultivate outstanding accounting professional qualities.

A (ambition) ambition: to cultivate students social responsibility and international perspective, the pursuit of excellence, achievements of the accounting elite courage and ambition.

C (Coorperation) Collaboration: Cultivate team spirit, develop collaboration skills, be good at drawing multi-dimensional resources and improve learning and work efficiency.

C (Challenge) Challenges: Encourage students to overcome difficulties and innovate to continuously excel themselves and create achievements in study and work.

  

3. Course training framework


Training programs include courses, practical teaching and dissertations and other aspects require students in 2-4 years of flexible system, completed at least 30 credit courses and completed dissertation.


Coursework is divided into degree programs (20 credits) and non-degree programs (10 credits). Degree programs include public courses (4 credits), basic theory courses (4 credits) and professional compulsory courses (12 credits). Non-degree programs include 10 modules, including professional elective, business elective, engineering elective and optional modules. Among them, the optional modules include all the courses offered by the whole school for masters (including those not selected for major electives).


Practical teaching (6 credits) Students are required to enter the practice base in the second year of internship, comprehensive practical ability. Integrated practice (1 credit) for management seminars.


Dissertations include dissertations, interim defense, pre-defense, defense and other links by the school instructors and teachers to guide the graduation thesis.
