On January 30th, the 2026 Sono-European Chinese Business Elite Forum, jointly initiated by Business School of Hohai University and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, was successfully held in Germany. As a key initiative in implementing the School's development strategy of pursuing "high standards, global orientation, mainstream engagement, and distinctive features," the roundtable forum brought together 30 core Chinese entrepreneurs and 10 overseas Chinese business elites from Europe. Focusing on three major themes—cross-border innovation, finance and sustainable development, and global leadership—the event explored practical pathways for Sino-European business cooperation amid an increasingly complex global landscape.

The forum innovatively adopted “a paired discussion model combining Chinese representatives with local guests based in Germany and Europe”, focusing on key issues such as compliance barriers for Chinese enterprises going abroad, cross-border investment and financing practices, and global leadership development. Through real-world case studies and intensive dialogues, it enabled precise knowledge exchange in areas such as technology transfer, data compliance, and capital empowerment.

In the opening ceremony, Professor He Jia, China Chief Representative of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, offered an in-depth analysis of the complementary advantages between China and Europe in both the real economy and emerging industries, laying a solid foundation of consensus for the collaboration.

Associate Professor Li Hui, Academic Director of MBA Education Center at Hohai University, noted in her concluding remarks that this forum served as a highly intensive, high-value, and high-trust cross-border exchange event, highlighting the essential role of Business School in building a high-level international cooperation platform. She emphasized that the college will continue to uphold its mission of "pursuing global knowledge and cultivating business elites," acting as a bridge to promote in-depth collaboration between Chinese and international enterprises in areas such as technological innovation, investment and business development, and talent cultivation, thereby injecting sustained momentum into global business synergy.
