On the afternoon of April 27, 024, the High-level Seminar on the Coordinated Development and Security Strategy of Water Resources-Energy-Food was held in the Business School of Hohai University, with representatives from the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, Nanjing Institute of Hydraulic Sciences, Institute of Rural Development, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zhejiang University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Jiangnan University, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai Normal University, More than 40 experts and scholars from Liaoning Normal University and other units attended the seminar. Researcher Meng Xin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Hohai University, and Senior Engineer Wu Shiqiangzheng, Vice President of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, attended the seminar and delivered speeches. In his speech, Meng Xin welcomed and thanked the experts and scholars attending the meeting, introduced the relevant achievements of Hohai University and the School of Business in teaching and scientific research, and proposed that Hohai University will continue to make steady progress in the research field of water resources-energy-food, and further provide intellectual support for the in-depth implementation of China's security strategy in water, energy, food and other related fields. Wu Shiqiang introduced the relevant cooperation between Nanjing Institute of Hydraulic Sciences and Hohai University in the field of water resources, energy and food, and hoped to further strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation with Hohai University, and contribute more to promoting the coordinated development of water resources, energy and food and the strategic research on security.
The seminar was divided into two parts: thematic reports and exchange seminars. The special report session was presided over by Professor Huang Yongchun, Director of the Social Sciences Division of Hohai University. Professor Huang Dechun, chief expert of the major project of the National Social Science Fund and professor of the Business School of Hohai University, made a detailed report on the major project of the National Social Science Fund China's Coordinated Development and Security Strategy of Water Resources-Energy-Food under Green Development from four aspects: research background, research team, research content and research results. Subsequently, Professor Xu Zhigang, Dean of the College of Economics and Management of Nanjing Agricultural University, winner of the National Talent Program, Professor Yi Fujin of the School of Public Administration of Zhejiang University, winner of the National Talent Program, and Professor Lin Faqin of the College of Economics and Management, China Agricultural University, the winner of the National Youth Talent Program, Professor Zha Donglan, the winner of the National Young Talent Program and Deputy Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, gave keynote reports on Efficient Circulation of Carbon and Nitrogen Water and High-quality Development of Food Security under the Concept of Big Food, Development Achievements and Challenges of China's Policy-based Agricultural Insurance, Analysis of International Agricultural Trade in 2024 from the International Economic Situation and Risk Issues in the Construction of New Energy System.
