On the afternoon of May 13, 2024, Professor Chen Guoquan, chair professor of Tsinghua University, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and national talent, was invited to give an academic lecture entitled Time and Space Theory: A New Perspective on Leaders' Thinking and Action for teachers and students of our school. Huang Yongchun, Director of the Social Science Division of Hohai University, Zhang Hengjie, Vice Dean of our school, and more than 60 teachers and students, including some teachers, graduate students, and undergraduates, participated in the event. The academic lecture was presided over by Professor Huang Yongchun, Director of the Social Sciences Division of Hohai University.
Professor Chen Guoquan introduced the research system of space-time theory, the thought of space-time theory, and the application of space-time theory. First of all, Professor Chen introduced the development logic and content system of spatio-temporal theory research from the perspective of spatio-temporal theory theory and spatio-temporal leadership of leadership and management. Secondly, Professor Chen quoted classics, from the Shang Sheng Fan Li to the cases of entrepreneurs such as Li Ka-shing and Ren Zhengfei, and then to Mao Zedong's military thought, expounding the profound connotation and basic ideas of the theory of time and space in simple terms. Then, Professor Chen introduced in detail the application of spatio-temporal theory in many fields such as conflict, change, communication, psychological counseling, strategic analysis, talent selection and training, and organizational game, which fully demonstrated the practical guiding value of spatio-temporal theory. In addition, Professor Chen conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges with teachers and students on the origin of spatio-temporal theory, the quantitative measurement of spatio-temporal theory, the cultivation of spatio-temporal concepts and the accumulation of spatial resources, and the application of spatio-temporal theory in business cases.
In this academic lecture, Professor Chen Guoquan's wonderful report gave the teachers and students of our institute a deeper understanding of the rich connotation of spatio-temporal thinking, and fully realized the importance of spatio-temporal thinking to study and work. This academic exchange has an important guiding and boosting role for teachers and students to broaden their academic horizons and stimulate innovative thinking.
