2013 IFSAM Council Meeting Was Held in HHBS

The 2013 IFSAM (International Federation of Scholarly Associations of  Management) Council Meeting was held in Business School of Hohai University from Oct, 29th to 30th. Sixteen council members from Japan, Mexico, France, Ireland and China, including Prof. Michael Morley (President of IFSAM) , Prof. Salvador Porras(Secretary of IFSAM), attended this meeting. Prof. Zhang Yang, Dean of HHBS, Prof. Wang Qun, Dean of International Education College, Prof. Zhou Haiwei, Associate Dean of HHBS, and Prof. Huang Dechun, Assistant Dean of HHBS, warmly received the distinguished guests.
On Oct, 29th, 2013 IFSAM Council Meeting was officially opened in the VIP Hall of Boxue Building. Dean Zhang first extended his warmest welcome to all the council members. Prof. Zhou Haiwei introduced to the attendees the historical development and education features of HHBS. Then, Prof. Michael Morley gave a detailed report on the achievements that IFSAM had gained during the recent period. Council members described the recent development of their institutions one by one. They communicated and discussed with each other about several topics of common interest.
On the morning of Oct, 30th, Prof. Toshio Takahashi, on behalf of Japan Academy of Business Administration, reported the preparation work for the 2014 IFSAM Congress, which would take place in Tokyo. At the end of 2013 IFSAM Council Meeting, Prof, Michael Morley and Dean both made an enthusiastic closing speech.
Through 2013 IFSAM Council Meeting, HHBS established close relationships with various international management associations, which helped a lot in improving the academic level and international impact of Hohai University in the field of management. 
International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM) is a worldwide organization of business and management. It is comprised of the most representative management institutions from 33 countries. China National Economic Management Association is one of the earliest institutions that has participated in IFSAM. Dean Zhang and Prof. Zhou Haiwei from HHBS are members of China National Economic Management Association.
