Opening Ceremony for 2013 MEM of the Business School
of Hohai University held successfully
On September 7, 2013, the opening ceremony cum entrance orientation for the 2013 Master of Engineering Management (“MEM”) of the Business School of Hohai University was grandly held in the Boxue Building. Present at the opening ceremony were Professor Zhou Haiwei, vice dean of the Business School, Li Ming, director of the MEM Education Center, Zhu Xu, executive director of the MEM Education Center as well as all 2012 MEM and all students admitted in 2013 to engineering management and logistic engineering.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Zhu Xu. First, Mr. Zhou Haiwei described the development planning, strategies, system of department and majors in the University and the School, and expressed his expectations that the new comers should cherish the opportunity, make a better balance between working and learning, study hard, enhance communications between students and secure pleasant environment of studying. Then, Mr. Li Ming extended his sincere congratulations and warm welcome to all the new comers in 2013 majoring in engineering management and logistic engineering and described the MEM Education Center. He hoped that all students can duly manage the time of studying and time of working, take full advantages of rich resources in the University to better themselves and lay a solid foundation for the next milestone of glory in life. Finally, a student named Cheng Kang delivered a speech at the ceremony on behalf of all students admitted in 2013 majoring in engineering management. He talked freely about the yearning for and the dream of the coming school life as well as understanding and apperception of the spirits of the Business School of Hohai University. Besides, he made a vow on behalf of all the new comers to accomplish the mission of “learn all knowledge in the world and be the elite in business administration”.
After the opening ceremony, Mr. Li Ming made entrance education for the new students, described Hohai University and the Business School, introduced the rules and regulations of the University and the training methods and process for engineering management and logistics engineering, and then gave in-depth answers to various questions raised by the students. The orientation activities were held thereafter, and the opening ceremony for new students admitted in 2013 to engineering management and logistics engineering of the Business School of Hohai University closed successfully in a heated discussion.
